Who is Ben Joyce?

Ben Joyce is one of the West End’s most exciting rising talents. The Welsh actor graduated from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and made an extraordinary professional debut in 2021, starring as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys at the Trafalgar Theatre. His powerhouse vocals and charismatic stage presence immediately marked him as a performer to watch.

Where have you seen him before?

After dazzling audiences in Jersey Boys, Ben went on to star as Marty McFly in Back to the Future: The Musical at the Adelphi Theatre in 2022 — a role that cemented his reputation as one of musical theatre’s most dynamic young leads. He was part of the show’s second-year cast, where he met his now-girlfriend, fellow performer Amber Davies, who has since gone on to appear in The Great Gatsby and now on Strictly Come Dancing.

What else has he been in?

In summer 2025, Ben took to the stage at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre as Beau in Shucked, bringing his trademark energy to one of the year’s most talked-about productions. He also starred as Quasimodo in the concert version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, showcasing his versatility and exceptional vocal range.

Has he won any awards?

Ben’s talent hasn’t gone unnoticed. He was nominated for a What’s On Stage Award for Best Takeover in a Role for his performance as Marty McFly, and his debut as Frankie Valli earned him nominations for The Stage Debut Award for Best Performer in a Musical and Best West End Debut.
